Wally just failed why yes he did read this
I was at my house sitting bored and started wondering why my engined knocked so I go out side to the car. I started the car pulled wire 4 and it stopped what does this mean. I put it back on and it started knocking again. I was using a shirt since im a lil girl and dont want to get shocked then the most dumbest thing I could do. I pushed wire 1 with the shirt and timing belt grabbed the shirt and the shirt completely disappeared . Then it skipped teeth and all you hear is PING PING PING PING PING PING. broke my cam angle sensor herd a loud POP and then the engine died. I cranked the engine manually then something was stopping it from cranking. I saw the little dowels thing on the cam sprockets once faced 9 o' clock and then other 12 o' clock. I just failed nasty right now I feel so retarded. Well im going to be down for a good while so I wont make it to this monday meet. Well can someone just lighten my day and tell me what was causing me knock on the car. The point is it stopped knocking when I pulled spark plug wire 4. What do you guys recommend I do now im so flabbergasted at what just happened.

Re: Wally just failed why yes he did read this
Actually you know I think it was because the first stud broke inside the head and it was loose. Well doesnt matter I know have bent valves and kissed pistons so im done with the car. Might as well just part out lol.

Re: Wally just failed why yes he did read this
The studs being loose will cause the exhaust leak since the exhaust gas burns up the gasket and than it starts doing that. that sucks wally now ur acting like me

LOL!!! EPIC FAIL! Not to be mean or anything but lol.
Its actually not too bad, bend valves used to scare me. You can have the head off in a day and half if you dont know what your doing. Take it to a machine shop to get evaulated. Buy new valves, have him install it. ARP's, composite gasket, clean off the deck surface. 1G CAS sensor, and rock it. If your not comfortable doing the timing belt part, hit up Clockwork.

Re: Wally just failed why yes he did read this
Yeah sam it is epic fail I will admit it lol. I have taken off the head out before but its no biggie. To rock the 1g cas what will need to be done. Can I use the same wires from the previous cas or no. Is there a wiring harnes for this if yeah then I will buy and go with that. Oh yeah sam if you dont know I think im the only noob who does his own timing lol. Yeah if I get lazy or something I will hit up gus. Going 6 bolt with auto is pointless so thats why im going this route for now.

the wiring diagram is on RREs site. Everything should be reusable. You can even just buy the head from Hectic and swap swap, your good to go!

Re: Wally just failed why yes he did read this
Goddamit wally that's why people tell you to put a cover on your cam gears! Well if you end up buying the head from hecktic you'll save some trouble since the cam already has the right grove for the 1g cam sensor.

Re: Wally just failed why yes he did read this
haha yeah gus I know it will make it easier for me that way I just buy the 1g cas instead of buying this one for a arm and leg. Well here is the shirt good thing it wasnt expensive . This is the aftermath of the shirt lol. Oh yeah more thing head is almost off im going to take it of with both manifold and TB and all that much easier.

Re: Wally just failed why yes he did read this
leave it on the head BUT remove the bracket holding the IM to the block. 2 bolts attach it to the manifold.
