Re: Wes's Car finally acting like a DSM. I pretty much have the engine together, just need to prime the oil system and then put on the timing belt. I even put a DEI turbo blanket on the turbo, there isn't one made for this hotside but the generic T3 one fit pretty good.

Re: Wes's Car finally acting like a DSM. I got the oil system primed on the engine yesterday and then put the timing belt on. I got the flywheel and clutch put on and mated the engine up to the trans. And last but not least got them both put into the car.
I still need to put the front axles back in, bolt up the starter, put on the transfer case, plug in the wiring harness, put some temporary stock injectors on it and the fuel rail, hook up the IC pipes, fill the trans and cooling systems, put on the down pipe, drain the old e85 from the tank and throw in some 91, then fire it up and take it for a break in spin.

Re: Wes's Car finally acting like a DSM. Things are looking good to get the car running this Sunday. I spent about 5 hours last night putting crap back together. The car has front axles and a transfer case again. Got on the A/C, power steering, and alternator with belts, hooked up the starter, and got all the sub frame bracing put back on as well as tightened all of the front suspension.
My GSX really looks like a car again, just down pipe, radiator hoses, IC pipes, fuel rail, fill with fluids, and drain tank left to go.

Re: Wes's Car finally acting like a DSM. I got to hear the car run this afternoon. Fired it up to check for leaks and it ran without dumping any oil or coolant. Now I just need the mad scientist to come and help with some tuning and break in runs.
