 Re: Wes's Car finally acting like a DSM. Well.... This may be the gayest thing i have ever said on this forum, but Wes you're turbo setup has just given me the biggest boner at the moment. I know i haven't said much lately but, damn.... just damn. I must say that the parts you are putting together for you're car is just impressive. Re: Wes's Car finally acting like a DSM. From the oil filter housing and the only restrictor I am using is an FP filter (The red one with a 0.100" opening).
So far so good but I have not really pushed the car yet.

Re: Wes's Car finally acting like a DSM. I ordered my filter from Forced Performance, stupid thing was like $80 with shipping.
I have an extra 1/8" NPT to -4AN 90* fitting with a restrictor in it. That one is about a 0.075" restrictor, you can have it. You should also check the oil pressure at the turbo. I think Clint has a setup to check the pressure that isn't permanently mounted to his car you might be able to borrow.

As of last night it is still consuming oil and I'm not sure from where. It isn't puking blue smoke out the exhaust like it did when the first turbo blew. From the smell in the crankcase I think that oil may have been just getting too hot and burning as my B&M cooler isn't in the greatest place for airflow. Last night I added a 5" fan to the oil cooler itself to help in oil cooling. I hope that this and the crank case evacuation actually working now will actually allow oil to stay in the engine.
Beyond that I know I have an oil leak from the bolt that is blocking off where the balance belt tensioning pulley would be. It only causes a couple of drops when I park so I don't think it is causing the problem unless it really leaks under load and sprays down the freeway. I guess the dyno will be a chance to check.
If schedules allow I will be having the mad scientist tune my car either tomorrow or Monday.

Re: Wes's Car finally acting like a DSM. Melted the piston in cylinder number 2 on the dyno tonight. Hopefully the car will run much better and have even compression after a new set of pistons and rings.
