Re: Wes's Car finally acting like a DSM.
It's official parts for HX35 install being ordered today.
Also I have a small coolant leak somewhere around the thermostat housing so I need to pull it apart and add more RTV.

Re: Wes's Car finally acting like a DSM.
Today was a fun day for ordering stuff. I bought the following stuff. And the O2 and wastegate were still on sale for $530 this morning when I ordered. An external gate DSM turbine housing from Bullseye. Couplers and clamps needed for the install. -10 push-loc fitting for the drain line (they are larger ID than the AN fittings I am currently running)
When all these things come in I will hopefully be able to make my car fun again.

Good luck with those -10 lines. They are a bitch to get in without getting a kink in them since they don't actually line up to oil pan.

Re: Wes's Car finally acting like a DSM.
I have a -10 now but it is actual AN and not push-loc. The AN thread on fittings have smaller inside diameters than the comparable push-loc fittings so it should be the same but just drain batter.

Re: Wes's Car finally acting like a DSM.
I just use 2 45's and about a 2" piece of pushlock works perfect and no bend or kinks in the hose. Installed a bullseye, turbonetics and a g60 that way.

Re: Wes's Car finally acting like a DSM.
You can also use 60* hose ends. You'll get less kink.

Re: Wes's Car finally acting like a DSM.
Now the waiting game is killing me. My HX35 is at the turbo shop by RRE getting a fresh rebuild, my turbine housing arrived today, and my fittings and couplers got here yesterday. But my O2 housing is in limbo, apparently Punishment Racing welded up the housing but they are waiting on a black MVS gate from Tial.
I'm hoping I get it next week so I can hurry up and kick the 50 trim to the curb.
On a side note are any of you guys interested in the 50 trim parts? There is a nice turbine housing and a 17 psi HD actuator.

Re: Wes's Car finally acting like a DSM.
^^^WTF? did you edit my post instead of replying? Hmm. Well, you had stated the O2 housing was "welded up", which led me to believe that it was already completed. Either way, MAP has no problem fabbing it up and selling it separately. Was it a PITA to mount the wastegate? Yes. Did the $100+ in savings outweigh the effort? Yes.

Re: Wes's Car finally acting like a DSM.
It's ordering the black one that killed your quick shipping time. It's always the damn color tops that get delayed with both the Wastegates and the 50mm BOVs

Re: Wes's Car finally acting like a DSM.
I don't know who edited your post Clint I just read the thread again now.
They didn't specify to me that it was welded up they just said that the gate was the only thing they were waiting on. It could very well be that they are waiting on the gate to do the finished welding.
And I got lucky and ordered at the very end of a sale on it so I paid $528 shipped instead of $580. Pretty much within an hour of me ordering it, it was off of the sales on the front page and back to regular price.
