Garrett 50-trim with PTE turbine housing.
You guys know the fun I have had with this turbo. Here is the for sale add I put on Tuners and Link forums. If I sell it then HX40, if not then we will see what it can do without oil contamination or starvation killing it.
This turbo started life as a PTE SCM5031E, I had oil contamination from a fresh rebuild take it out. The turbo has been rebuilt with an entirely new Garrett center section with new, shaft, wheels, bearings, all of it. The only parts left that were used are the turbine and compressor housings and both have been cleaned up to like new condition. The questionable PTE steel thrust bearing was replaced with a quality bronze thrust bearing as well as all the Garrett imitation parts that were used by PTE have been replaced with actual Garrett pieces.
As you can see in the picture this turbo is internally gated and that is the HD waste gate (18-30psi). This turbo would run $908.50 from extremepsi and that would be with the inferior steel thrust bearing in it.
I made 442 AWHP and 424 lb-ft of torque on my 2.3 with this turbo at 27 psi. The divided turbine housing works well to control boost as my low boost map was done at 18psi and it held there until redline with no creep.
No Longer for Sale

I can't believe no one is jumping on this turbo. Especially on the Link forums. Hopefully you can get it sold so you can have some fun on a biggie .
