You have to be a member of that site to see the pictures there. Host them on photobucket or something and put them here too.

Looks like a T25 or GT28 "Disco Potato" for a SR20. That's not a 5031e "The 50 trim" Spec wise that turbo might have a 50 trim. Trim is the ratio between the inducer and exducer of the compressor wheel. But the 5031E is what everyone considers "the 50 trim" which is only oil cooled, no water lines and looks nothing like that.

This is the 5031E "The 50 trim"

Also the turbo you pictured doesn't look new, looks like the compressor wheel has seen some use, one fin is bent, and the compressor cover looks like it got repainted.

No such thing as a t25 flange, only Mitsu and t3 exist for the t25/8.

We'll if you don't mind. Please enlighten us on what exactly it is. You say T3 50trim and in the DSM world, everyone thinks 5031 with a T3 turbine housing.

And actually gus, there is a t25 flange. Its on the SR20 T25/T28. Its a Nissan thing.

A/R of the compressor housing doesn't matter really. It doesn't really change the characteristics of the turbo. The .63AR hotside is good I guess. I'm talking about actual wheel size. Inducer and exducer of the turbine and compressor wheels. A/R tells nothing about the turbo itself. That's just housing size. You can put a GT3076 comes in a .63 .82 and 1.06 A/R's. Same cartridge, different turbine housings. But they all are GT3076 turbos. Difference between a .63AR housing and a 1.06, is max flow and response. A smaller AR will yield response and a bigger AR will yield more flow. But when it all boils down, the main factor is still the compressor and turbine wheels. You aren't going to make 700whp on a 3076 by switching to a 1.06AR. Max power out of a 3076 is going to be around 500whp. Difference is in a .63 it will be harder to punch out 500whp becuase of the small housing, it will choke it out top end. In a 1.06 housing it will lag like a dog. You are basically changing the nozzle size in which you spray exhaust gas at the turbine wheel. Kinda like a water hose. You make the nozzle smaller for more velocity (spoolup) to clean our driveway and go bigger for more actual water comming out (flow) to do something more like...stop a fire or something.

But housing size wont determine how much power or how fast the turbo will spool. Or how well it will work in a users application. The wheel sizes are the biggest and main indicators of the turbos characteristics.
