if your front mount isn't connected, take it off.

My front mount is not on my car it is off. There is nothing blocking the radiator. The weird thing is it only over heated heading towards hollywood then on my way back it didn't overheat. Does anyone recommend the failsafe thermo from autozone. I'm buying the oem rad cap the ones from autozone are 13 pounds.

Im guessing thats why im overheating and leaking there is no gasket there just metal to metal .

Your kidding me right? You can do your own timing belt but you don't know theres suppose to be a gasket in between the thermostat housing?!

hahaha damn thats wally for you. I bought some water pump and thermosat sealing gasket make thing and put that on for now. I thought the o-ring was suppose to seal and keep it from leaking. I went to autozone and told them if I can get the thermostat gasket they said it has none only the o-ring then SHE told me are you sure its not for the outlet fitting I said can I see it she just told silicone goes there. I couldn't find the gasket anywere. My timing belt jobs are risky I get so paranoid I quadra check them to be safe.

2G thermostats have the gasket on it. Its a o-ring type thing that wraps around it.

Yeah see I was right it did have the o-ring on it and idk this is really puzzling me.
