Yesterday my passenger window was working perfectly. I kept it down as with my drivers side durig the day. Later on in the evening i rolled up my windows while i was on the freeway. Once i got off the freeway my drivers side went down perfectly. But, My passenger side didn't move. Yes i did check the locking switch to make sure it wasn't locked. I took apart both the passenger & drivers side door panels to see if anything was different. Didn't find anything. The fuse under the hood is good (drivers window still works). I dissconnected the battery and that didn't fix it. I even tried another window switch on both driver & passenger side and that wasn't the problem.


Help Please

test the window motor itself. Two wires, +12V one wire and gnd other and it will go either up or down. If not, the motor is dead.

How do i test the wires?

1. pull off the passenger side panel.
2. find the motor that cranks the window up and down see what color the wires are
3. go to passenger window switch find the same colors
4. ???????
5. PROFIT!!

Well i took the door panel apart and found the wires. The only electrical source of power i could use was my car battery. So i took the battery out of the car and put the wires to the terminals and nothing happened. So i guess i just need to replace the motor.

It's Fixed!!!!!! My Window Now Works!!!!! I have no idea what i did !!!!!!!!!!


I ordered a replacement motor off ebay for $16 shipped. I got it in the mail today. I went to connect it and turn on the car and the window motor worked. So i think that i had a blown motor. Then i think, should i try and re-connect the blown motor with the exposed male wires into the plastec female part of the switch. I did, And it worked. The old motor was still in working condition. So i just cut the plastic male part with some wires on the newer motor and re-wired it onto the female part of the window switch. I put the door panel back on and everything works.
