Re: Wally just failed why yes he did read this
ohh thats the intake bracket. i believe its 1 14mm bolt u get on the bottom of the block. or you can remove the 2 14mm bolt on the intake and u get the same result either way. and once its off toss it. i did it and i havent had a problem since. everything is held up nicely by the intake bolts.

Re: Wally just failed why yes he did read this
Im trying to find it but I dont have any way of getting to it the haynes manual does show them but wtf I cant get to them. Thats all I need and the head is off then head bolts and done. http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/article ... embly.htmlThis pic shows the back of the IM and what im talking about but cant get to them. Oh yeah sdsmracer thanks and gus thanks as well. Just trying to get to them. Head was pretty easy to take off except this part on the mani that had me going crazy. It would have been 2 hours to remove but guess not. Im saying it to every one I did fail this is a epic fail lol. i will post pixs of the damage. Right now its to dark to see out side so yeah I removed the hood and man does it make it better to work dont feel all trapped lol.

Re: Wally just failed why yes he did read this
you can get one of the bolts off from the throttle body side of the intake. and the other from the side where the AC line runs from. just unbolt that and squeeze your hand in there. its a tight fit hahah. trust me. ive done it a couple of times. orrrr just get the one from the bottom of the block. i think that would be the easiest. u might be able to get it from the bottom of the car. inbetween the downpipe and whatever goodness is under there.

Re: Wally just failed why yes he did read this
Well I managed to take the bracket off I just unbolted both from the IM. Now all I need is the headbolts. Will these come out easy or will they require some cojones to get them out. I dont want to break them inside the block.

Re: Wally just failed why yes he did read this
They will be hard to break free. They shouldn't snap in half but make sure you use a quality socket on them as a cheap one will probably just snap.

Re: Wally just failed why yes he did read this
I'd sell you the head off my car (even though its a 6bolt) since I'm buying a 7bolt head and another block, but it won't be for a few months. (Head has 13k).
If you need help tomarrow, I'll be free after 530.

Re: Wally just failed why yes he did read this
Alright guys well everything is off except these weird allen bolts looking thing. There is 3 of them but cant find out what size to use I have used 10 to small 11 has play and 12 to big wtf now what is the correct size for these. there is 3 of them right in the middle of the head the top are in the shape of a allen wrench. Kevin thanks for offering help but most of it is off. I want to use the 7 bolt head since it has bigger runners.

Wally my friend, I think you just won yourself a ticket to the goldmine thread! On another note, have Gus do your T-Belt. Get it done perfect the first time around.
