Yeah it's hard going easy on it but I have to do that for awhile. It leaks a little coolant, I think it's coming from the heater hoses. I'll fix that Sunday and hopefully take it to the meet on Monday. Other than that it starts up fine, idles nice, good oil pressure and everything. I'm loving it. The first time it turned on = one of the best feelings in the world. Can't explain it.

And did you mean a 6pack for each person Sam? :P

All OEM Timing components. Everything else is OEM oil squirters, oil pump, oil pan, water pump. I really when all out on this build. Everything is new from the oil pan to the valve cover Minus the bare block and bare head. All types of bolts, nuts, belts you name it.

Thread back from the dead! The car is running like a f'ing champ! the only issue is the idle, it surges a bit at random times...but don't really care for that, I'm sure is a small boost leak or somthing. Any ways two questions:

What is your input of when to start using synthetic oil? And how many miles until it is "broken-in?"

Disable the FIAV. Makes it more consistant, It never really gets cold enough in CA for it anyways.

True kind of piontless i guess if it isn't already working properly, I will probably block it off when i go to a 1G TB. I will also be running a SMIM in the near future so i'll probably tackle all that at once to have less down time.
