Ok so I haven't updated this yet. Been work saturday's lately so im pushing about 50-56 hours a week, anywho that was kicking the crap out of me for a while. Well everything is complete and ready to go as of saturday moring and as soon as i put the battery in, my alternator/choke fuse (100A) blew. I have a short some where in the car and as i disconected the alternator and it didn't blew the fuse so I'm hoping its the alternator that's causing this i can start this baby up and ready for MOD. I took the alternator to get tested and it was no good. So I hope that the old one had a short or something. I just wish it wasn't Sunday because the parts deptarment at Nocro is closed. So first thing tomarrow i'm be heading out there. I hope thats it so I can install it during the week and take my car to MOD here are some pics






I finally took it out of the garage and washed it to be ready to take it to MOD just in case it ends up being an easy fix.

Real quick...were you planning on buying a new alternator from Norco??? Aren't they like $1,000,000 new from the dealership!?

Damn it, I callled Norco and the alternator is $325!!!! they don't have it in stock and they want the payment up front.

if the alternator is off the car then i think i can get you a autozone rebuilt one. the edgar hook up. lmk asap, i think i'll be going to the meet today bring it then. i don't have a phone still trying to unblock my iphone.

Sucess!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! started it up today. Check for leaks, oil pressure and so on.... then test drove it up and down the hills for a bit. It went pretty smooth. I still need a timing gun to check base timing. Not sure if it is advance or retarded with the 1G CAS.

Before i pulled out my 7bolt motor, there was a lot of oil in the 02housing and exhaust, so it's still in there burning off while i drive it....I'm not sure if i'm gonna drive it to MOD. I really need to watch how i'm driving and be aware and it's driven properly. But in a way i'm kind of happy knowing everything went pretty good whether or not i take it to MOD. If not i'll be rolling shot gun with Jose and his HX35 set up

its gonna smoke in the beginning, it's normal. you live in the perfect place to break it in, lots of hills. Drive it to mod. Just dont slam on the gas that's all.
