 Re: Jumped 3 teeth
Yeah thanks soadweskey the good thing I dont have to look for a timing belt change for another 50,000 miles right hahaha. The cool thing is I got everything to align the first time cranked it 1/4 counter clockwise then did 6 full revolution clockwise and all marks align on the dot I say beginners luck or I might be the next dsm god hahaha jk jk.

Are you following these steps exactly?

 Re: Jumped 3 teeth
You use the special tool attached to a torque wrench that can measure small amounts of torque, and rotate the tool so it tensions the belt, and apply around 3ft lbs and tighten the center bolt. Im doing this exact thing on a 2g tomorrow once the machine shop gives me the head back.

 Re: Jumped 3 teeth
I took everything off the front of the engine. I double checked the timing i guessed I did it wrong last time by not aligning all the marks. So it read I was to teeth off. Now my crank oil all sprockets are in time to the right on the spot. Compression test when I did it came at 180 220 220 180. My car still feels like it has a vacuum leak but dont know were. When strider050 did the boost leak test pressure was escaping from the screw that you turn to regulate idle not BISS. More pressure was escaping from the side of the throttle body. Very minimal on the side of the throttle body but the screw it was bubbling up like crazy. My problems now are knocking from the lifters and my car on cold start up dies right after. Sometimes I crank the engine and it turns and wants to start then I give it some gas and it starts. Not all the time it does the cranking issue. When im crusing at a steady speed and my rpms drop below 2k the rpms just go and down up and down around 300 rpms everytime. Can this be a shitty throttle body. What else can be causing these issues.
