 Re: Leaking coolant in car
Your heater core is leaking. Replacing it is a huge pain in the ass, if you can live without your heater just loop the heater hoses so coolant doesn't go there any more. If you need to have a heater then get ready to swear a lot as you attempt to get inside your dash to replace it.

 Re: Leaking coolant in car
If there is coolant inside the car its the heater core period. Ive always found it easier to just bypass the stupid thing if and when they fail. Replacement wise all i can say is have fun!

 Re: Leaking coolant in car
Dont be a pansy you dont need the heater. If you lived in alaska then yeah you will need it. You stay in CA right its been hot lately but if you do need one junkyard or autozone will carry them.

 Re: Leaking coolant in car
I wouldn't care but it's my wife's daily driver so I don't want here it from her. She hate when I mess with the car. She wants it stock. I already put a pte 50 trim front mount and boost controller in it. Gotta keep her happy so I can keep working on the car

 Re: Leaking coolant in car
Just replace the heater then. Autozone might have them or junkyard.

 Re: Leaking coolant in car
Does the heater core have hoses running to/from it or is it hard lines (I've never looked)? Mabye a hose needs replacement instead of the heater core?

 Re: Leaking coolant in car
The heater has rubber hoses that run to it through the fire wall near the throttle body and battery. You can't miss them, they are the only big rubber hoses that go through the fire wall.
