Annoying ticking sound
I finally found where the ticking was coming frm... I noticed it getting louder as the months go by, an I now found out where it comes frm...
The car makes 2 ticking/clicking noises... 1 is frm the well-known lifters (that I gotta learn how to change myself). The 2nd is coming frm this solenoid (right above the intake mani) with 2 vac lines attached to it.. As I give it gas it ticks frm 1k-1.5k rpm then goes away if I go higher. I'm not sure what that solenoid does but It Seems it gets it's loudest on cold days right when I start the car in the morning after reaching warm temp... It clicks when Rpms chill around 1k-1.5k at cruising speeds. Then goes away (somewhat) after driving it for 5mins...
Not sure if u guys know what it is frm my description... But when u pop ur hood and look at ur stock intake mani, there's 2 solenoids above it with vac lines connected on both ends. It's specifically the left one that clicks... Not the right. It's not on the intake mani, but above it screwed on the engine bay.

Annoying ticking sound
Ok... I'm gonna google more an see,
i'll be at the next meet on Monday to show y'all what I'm talkin about... I hope they aren't pricey. Do they normally tick around 1-1.5k rpm? Cuz I've never heard it doing that months ago, or maybe it wasn't as loud as it now.

Re: Annoying ticking sound
If its not throwing a CEL I wouldn't bother with it, the EGR system only works during idle and part throttle cruise
