Re: Monday!!
Again, desensitizing it is a band aid fix. Find what is causing the PK and fix it.

Re: Monday!!
You can disable the knock sensor during a pull just to see if the knock sensor is faulty, and listen for knock by doing a WOT pull with the window down. If its all goozing and oozing on the actual sensor, then its dead. Its amazing how you can hear knock happen during a WOT pull, its really noticeable, sounds like loose gravel hitting the bottom of the car. I would do this cautiously if you do decide to try it out.

Re: Monday!! [tuning tech portion]
Ive pulled tons of timing timing from the upper rpms as well as tried running different afr's but im positive its just noisy lifters/valvetrain. I have a very conservative map (no more than 6* above 5k and around 10.0afr) with low boost and this problem still persist. I wouldn't want to even try to turn the knock sensor off because it DOES serve a very important purpose like sam said. But the cool thing is i can control exactly how sensitive the sensor is at different points so you could see it as a bandaid fix but it works and it still detects real knock.
