Re: DSMLink "lite"
MAF COMP, what you use to dial in fuel trims and calibrate the maf sensor. It takes the signal from the MAF sensor (MAFraw) and then apply the compensations to achieve MAFcomp, and that is what the ecu uses to determine airflow, and determin fueling. In closed loops, MAF Comp can be used to adjust fuel trims. If you have v3 you can log CombinedFuelTrims and drive for like half and hour logging, and the right click and go to mafComp(combinedFT) and it will dial in your Fuel trims. Then Use a MAP sensor to calibrate the sensor to redline.

Re: DSMLink "lite"
For most people, EMS is overkill. But on the same car, same mods fully tuned on EMS or the Stock ecu (evo), The ems will yield about 10-20% more than the stock ecu, both dyno tuned to its potential. I honestly think the gains are due to the ability to process information faster. From Input to output, the EMS can keep each cylinder running at its peak consistantly. On a stock ecu, one injector might open for just a a bit shorter than the rest on one pull and that's why you get knock. Ignition timing might not me perfect and be early or late by half a degree. But the EMS will be that much more dead on, and cosistant on every cylinder that you can really push the limit of pump gas without knock. Knock is your biggest limiting factor when it comes to making power. And if one cylinder is off, or its off just one random revolution, it will unduce knock, and limit your timing numbers, afr numbers, and boost number. Thus limit your power.

Re: DSMLink "lite"
You do know that you are arguing whith a guy who has V3 on his car and has been running speed density for about a month or more since ECMtuing gave it to RRE early to test out and Sam has the only 2G left there anymore.
He knows plenty about ECMlink and about EMS.
