Put your car at top dead center and use a straight edge to make absolutely certain that the marks on the cam gears are lined up. EYBALLING THEM IS NOT GOOD ENOUGH YOU HAVE TO USE A STRAIGHT EDGE. And also do a boost leak test because those also sound like the symptoms of a huge boost leak if you can hear your turbo but there is no power. |

Boost leak testers are easy to make. Here is the VFAQ link on how to make one. Your knock sensor goes off on any noises/vibration that sound like knock. If your car is running way off or has a cylinder misfiring or something it may set it off. |

well i traded off the 16G and mani for a 60trim turbo and a 30mm WG...and i also have a 50trim turbo....debating on how i want to rebuild it.... but i dont think im going to use the motor that is in the car right now cuz now its got a bad oil leak :/ i have another block completely stripped on a stand waiting to get to a shop to get bored .20 over to fit the new pistons... i plan on really rebuilding it so its reliable...i have a bunch of new parts that i would rather freshly rebuild a engine then halfass it again....like the last 3 times...hahaha |
