Post subject: | TPS logging issue |
When I log w/ Evoscan, my TPS doesn't go to 100% right away when I floor it. It goes to about 75% and then slowly climbs to 100%. When logging w/ both ECU TPS reading and Zeitronix TPS reading, sometimes the Zeitronix readout climbs a bit faster, but not much. Is this common when logging? If not, do I have a logging issue, or do I have a bad TPS? Here's a pic of a log. The zeitronix reading shows up a bit later then the ECU reading, so they're offset: |

Logging too much stuff on evoscan can cause a loss in frames/sec and cause a lag. Also if ecuscan doesn't show 100% then the formula used might need adjustment. |

well, it *does* show 100%, it just shows up like I'm slowly pushing it in to WOT when I'm actually flooring it right away. It doesn't act like a lag issue (all the other values react like they should.) I'll try to log just TPS to see if there's a difference, but i don't think it's lag. |

I'd try watching the logger's TPS reading alone with the car not running. Smash the pedal to the floor while watching how the logger reacts. Mine show's 100% almost instantly if i remember right. I'll double check when I get a chance to run out to my car (at work now). |

Check voltage coming out of the sensor at the TB when you open it up to WOT. If it goes up fast and then keeps climbing at a slow rate up to max, then it might be a TPS or wire issue. |

I'll do both of those tests when i get a chance and come back here w/ results. LOL i'm so lazy, should have done them already, but just posted here looking for an answer instead. |

Well I checked mine by just watching the loggers response to me pressing down the gas pedal and it shows 100% instantly. The only real way is to test the actual voltage output like Sam said. |
