Anything is do-able. But in a 1G its not plug and play. Its all the same 5v signals input and outputs. 12v here and there. Just got to get the right pin to the right accesory/sensor/electronic gangster. In a 1G its a bit harder and not plug and play like the 2G guys. 1G = OBD1. You can go the route of swapping in a 2G harness, that will work, but still isnt plug and play. You are basically doing the same work as wiring in a build-it-yourself standalone (electromotive tec3 type of shit) |

Its doable but like sam said its not plug and play. You would have to get a patch harness or the pigtails off a turbo 2g and wire your stock harness into it so you can plug it into the evo ecu. You also have to wire in an obd2 port which is not hard at all this is how you do that (OBD Pin 7) goes to ECU Pin 62, OBD Pin 4 & 5 are to ground, OBD Pin 16 is 12v+. Then you would go ahead and get a 2g knock sensor and rescale your maf, injectors, possibly deal with rev hang and other small idle related issues seeing as the ecu is trying to control a really old sensor. Other than that it is doable, and the benefits are great. You can run either an edm rom or a tephra patches rom and have all the cool features i have. If you want some more info i can post up a link of a few guys who have done it and a discussion on what else is needed. |
