Going to be putting in my spare 6puck. Its a solid hub so kinda scary. Also going to be fixing my 2nd gear syncro while I'm at it. Doing some l33t hax0r tooning and and hax0rd physics. Got up to 26psi 14* of timing at peak boost, climbing to 17* at redline. All on a still pretty fat and jagged average 10.5:1 AFR. NO KNOCK WHATSOEVER!!! Was making adjustments to flatten out the fuel a bit, and next pull just spun the clutch when boost came on. Effin ACT 2600 w/ 6puck. ACT tq, rated for 516ft lbs. Of course its a bit beat and tired. But DAMN!! Turned to boost down to 24 to keep torque down within its tq limits. This is all street tuning so no dyno numbers, too lazy lulz.

6bolt+16G LS vtec head w/ jaydem boost. Nothing much has changed, except tooning, tooning, and moar tooning. |

So that's what you were talking about. And dam how are you able to run that much timing? That's one think that becomes a problem for me. |

Gus dropped by the shop last night, thanks for the hand man. Really when you have a trans apart its good to have a 2nd set of hands, eyes, memory. LOL Now I've got the "did I forget something?" complex. Driving around listening for things. But 2nd WORKS! No more having to rev match and just grinding into 2nd. Gotta make an adjustment on the Axle bracket, seems to be vibrating more than it should. Also over tightened the ball/spring bolts and makes the tranny a bit too stiff. To anyone else with an AWD that knows for sure their VC and Ceter diff is still good. If you are driving in a parking lot or something, at like 5mph. If you pop into neutral and let it coast while going full lock, does you car feel like it binds slightly? Im assuming since the VC tries to keep the front and rear spinning at the same speed, and in a sharp turn the front moves faster than the rear, the VC is applying the resistance to the front. It never gets bad to were its like a jeep and you chirp tires but I do notice it. Just never realized this until last night, dunno if I threw in a the wrong VC (there was two on the table and a question of which was mine) possibly mine was dead the whole time and I accidently threw the good one in and now its working how it should? Or maybe it always did and I never noticed because I never cared to take notice. (like the people with engine probs then listen under the hood and hear injector tick and think that is a problem, was always there but they never cared to listen) Or I'm just paranoid? |

no prob man, and i'm 99% sure that you put on your original vc since I remember you put 5th gear on top of it before the 2nd case came off. But glad to hear everything went well, and that you can shift again. |

I don't know if my car does it but I have never cared to notice either. I'm ordering up my 4 spider diff from TRE right now so I will be looking forward to your assistance installing it when engine swap day comes. Next time I'm in my car I will check if it does that. |

I did a few low speed coasting turns earlier tonight and didn't notice any binding. I'll try it again tomorrow w/ a little more speed. |
