 A/C Problem!!! First of all don't reply back and say get rid of the A/C cause If i wanted to I would have, it just means that much to me, It gets hot as fuck in Socal and I drive alot! with that said!
When I first installed my FMIC I cut the side of the A/C condensor and freon was shooting everywhere, well i put in a new condensor and haven't got around to recharging the system till today! First of all I new that the car with the A/C on would be a little difference power wise but not this bad! I can be driving and turn on the A/C and it feels like im pressing the brakes, Then from a stop my car pretty much dies through shift the shift unless I press the gas and keep the Rpm's high, but they still drop, and I have turn the A/C off and my car drives fine! Wierd thing is if I remember right I drove it before I put the Freon in and it was fine either way then when I recharged it and tried to enjoy the cold breeze it was feeling all funny/. And my volts are staying at 12.8-13.0 with it on or off! I tried to see if they dropped by turning the a/c on and watching it but it didn't change at all
What's the problem, my buddy told me the A/C pump Might be bad? I still have my BS belt, help me out!

Re: A/C Problem!!! I'm with Christ on this one. The freon in the system also lubricates and protects the pump. It might have spent to much time exposed to air. If you turned on the a/c while the system wasn't charged it is real bad for the compressor.

Re: A/C Problem!!! He didn't say it runs like a honda. He said when his AC is on, his car struggles and wants to die when he's not on the gas. Have your ever turned something that doesn't want to be turned? His car is actually running like a Toyota...Prius to be exact.

Re: A/C Problem!!! did you evacuate the system and vacuum out the old freon and air after installing the new condensor and before 'charging' the system again?

Re: A/C Problem!!! Just replace the condenser with a new/rebuilt one, get the lines vacuumed and filled if you want to continue having AC. If not, chop your belt off and keep driving with the windows down.
