YOU T OFF OF THE P LINE AT THE THROTTLE BODY AND HOOK IT UP TO THE BOOST CONTROLLER AND FROM THE BC TO THE WASTEGATE ACTUATOR ON THE TURBO. (loud questions deserve loud answers.) |

Here's the right way *ASSUMING* you have a ball and spring type MBC:
The old school way is to tee off of your BOV line, but that has proven to be an inconsistent boost source for the wastegate. The above pic shows how most people I know (that know wtf they're doing) set up a MBC. You don't have to actually tap into the compressor housing, but somewhere in the I/C piping pre-intercooler would be good. Be sure the small bleed hole (yes, good spring and ball type MBC's should have a small bleeder hole) is between the MBC and the wastegate. A lot of people tap into their compressor outlet pipe (or j pipe):
Edit: LOL after posting I read TalonatoR's post! Guess I basically said you don't know WTF you're doing!!! People still argue to this day whether to tap the BOV line or the I/C piping. Mitsubishi was kind enough to provide a source for us right there on the compressor outlet pipe! |
