 wot without touching gas pedal Driving today and sometimes the car would start to rev a little on its own. I parked for a bit and when I got back in the car and started it there was no tension on the pedal, and it went wot. Turned it off right away and just left parked in the lot

Re: wot without touching gas pedal Check the cable all the way to the throttle body. Open the throttle by hand with the car off, see if it's sticking.

Re: wot without touching gas pedal If it goes wot with the throttle plate closed you have a big vacuum leak in the intake manifold somewhere or maybe egr. No tension on the pedal sounds like stuck open throttle plate or maybe some kind of cruise control problem?

Re: wot without touching gas pedal I think it could be a problem with the cruise control box between the battery and tb or a throttle cable issue

Re: wot without touching gas pedal A friend rigged it up so the throttle will work but now the car will not start, it is getting a spark and there is fuel, I think it might be an issue with an old alarm

Re: wot without touching gas pedal my crx used to make that noise before the main relay went bad. I know... its a honda not a dsm, but hey might be a similar issue.
