You can test it by measuring voltage or resistance. Using the later requires no power, hence allowing you to bench test/adjust. Man, I should've just said " yeah you can" |

UPDATE: I finally figured out the damn tps. Got it to where the idle is super steady!!! The reason this NOOB (lol) wasn't able to adjust the tps was due to the damn alligator clips touching which gave me a completely different reading. This kept being my problem until today.
