 T25 turbo shaft play In/Out.... Hey guys its me again. First of all i want to thank everyone in advance for the help. Today i was trying to switch my o2 sensor since i got the check engine light code and i failed, buddy is changing it tuesday at shop, lol. While i was doing that i decided to inspect the t25 for shaft play.
-----> I currently loose boost at around 3k - 4k rpms, the turbo does this sputtering noise and it cuts off. So i checked for boost leaks and found 2 big holes in intercooler a while back. I jb welded it and i thought my problem was solved. :-[
Now my question is, will the shaft play discovered today on t25 be the cause of my sputtering and loss of power at around 3k - 4k rpms... Is it Time for a new turbo or a rebuilt, guys??? Thanks in advance

Re: T25 turbo shaft play In/Out.... The cutting out is probably from a boost leak and I agree with Christ, throw that T25 in the garbage..

Re: T25 turbo shaft play In/Out.... Avoid ebay. You can try craigslist but I haven't seen any (and my searches are all california). Try dsmtuners.com. They're always good turbos and other things in the part outs.

Re: T25 turbo shaft play In/Out.... The only leak i have found so far other than the ic being cracked is the tb and biss screw. I bought the oring #5 from home depot but am worried im not going to leave the idle right when i put it back.

Re: T25 turbo shaft play In/Out.... I put a good amount of jb weld and its holding up pretty good. Will the tb and biss leak cause sputtering and rough idle?
