 Bad boost leak and rough idle! Hey guys, im a complete noob to the dsm turbos. I have a 95 gst with a rough idle and im guessing for what i have read a REAL BAD boost leak. I saw the instructions on how to make a boost leak tester but i have no compressor at all nor do i know anyone who does. I would greatly appreaciate and pay someone to do a boost leak test on my car. I start to loose power between 3-5k rpm and the turbo seems to do this weird sputtering noise. I hate that i cant rev my car at all.... Re: Bad boost leak and rough idle! HEY GUYS THANKS FOR THE FEEDBACK.... i just fixed 3 huge cracks on stock intercooler. Huge amounts of air was leaking through there like crazy. So i put some jb weld and bam..... The idle got better but my turbo is still sputtering around 3-5k rpm. I kind of hit a dead end. I stay in la puente by the way, near the 605 and the 60.
Thanks again and sorry i took so long to reply. Been working on my car like crazy. Cmc and slave cylinder both gave out, cracked my valve cover, had to pick up valve cover all the way to hemet, oil pan gasket was shot..... and yeah. Lol
update: so now i just realized my check engine light is on. This happened right after the intercooler got sealed. Any suggestions???

Re: Bad boost leak and rough idle! Okay.... Just checked engine light code and its saying my front o2 sensor is shot.... Should i buy it from mitsubishi dealer or auto zone???

Re: Bad boost leak and rough idle! Thanks for the link.... Just ordered it today. Total came out to 60 bucks with taxes. Not bad considering autozone wanted about 80 for a universal one.
