2G decelerating at 4k
hey guys, thought id ask for some advice, I was driving eclipse the other day and and she was running great no problem at all, and then as I was driving around a corner I go to put it in second and when I bring it up to 4k it automatically backs off the throttle and acts like I redlined it, my guess is it jumped timing cause shortly after that it shut off, does that sound like a logical guess?

Re: 2G decelerating at 4k
i don't think so, things would be worse i think if you did jump timing, does it still drive regular besides that like if you drove under 4k the whole time the acceleration wouldn't feel sluggish and wouldn't turn off on you?

it all seemed a bit weird actually, it was idling rough and killed itself on the next startup, I haven't got to check it out much, the valves, at a glance, look good, but I haven't had a chance to seriously get into, I'm gonna check timing and everything, so we'll see
