Post subject: | Oil in Cam Angle Sensor Housing |
Hey, so I recently replaced the cam angle sensor O-ring and cam angle sensor because when I opened the housing there was oil inside and the car wasn't starting. Since replacing the o-ring and using RTV gasket maker I'm still finding oil in the housing and on the sensor when I pull it out. Has anyone had this issue? The car starts the first time and drives/boosts well but when I get back and pull out the sensor, I'm still finding oil???... |

thats normal. There is no seal between the cam and the sensor housing. Its a hall effect sensor and oil wont effect the magnetic field it works on. |
