So this morning i changed out my bad condition headlights for another set which werent so bad.

took off front bumper, changed out headlight assemblies, reinstalled bumper. bam.

hopped in the car and drove off and noticed that my radio was gone and dome light/trunk light dont work anymore.

checked underhood and dome light fuse blew, threw on an extra one and blew immediately.

i checked wiring around the stock intake since i had to remove it in order to get to the bolts on the backside of the passenger side headlight assembly. i checked for any chafing or pinched/exposed wires and found none, i've looked inside the car for exposed wiring or blown out bulbs, and found nothing wrong.

anyone else come across this problem? i'm assuming i have a short to ground/power somewhere but i cant figure out how that could happen from taking off the bumper/headlights and putting them back on

Had that problem before, caused by a melted wire. Sounds definitely like a short and it aint gonna be fun tracing.

I have the exact same problem right now. I have to enter the code on my radio every time i turn my car on.

Hey Eric, I'm having the same problem I swapped headlights and my tail/ gauge light fuse blows. I swapped relays, swapped turn signal switch, unplugged all tail, head gauge and boost gauge lights hoping one of those was shorting out. Negative now I have to find that bastard wire. Can't use a volt meter cause you can't give it power. So testing for ohms? I'm about to try a self powered continuity tester and cross my fingers. Good luck man.

Figured it out. After running out of options I went thru everything I had done recently
Two illumination wired on the wiring harness for the stereo shorted out. Melted the wire. . Patched her up andshe works great.
