| Post subject: | 2g Oil leak from balance sprocket? |
as stated, just finished rebuilding my engine (new rods, pistons etc) got a new to me block out of another 2g talon. Finally got it started to find i have a oil leak coming from/behind the Balance/r Belt Sprocket.... Tried replacing seals still leaks... Family Friend/Mechanic suggested it could be the bushing on the opposite side? trying to get some outside suggestions on the issuie... Read a post on tuners with dang near identical problem and he fixed it by using high temp sealant on and around the bolt holding it in... i DID NOT do the balance shaft removal... thanks in advance 1995 Eagle Talon TSI AWD |

How would a cracked timing cover make a motor leak? Lol im confused but do you mean a crack in the oil pump housing around the balance shaft sprocket? |
