Well I'm pretty much stock but with 3" piping and a type s BOV. I was told If I put a 3" flowmaster obdII cat it would make me pass smog with no problem. But what do you fellow dsmrs think... Would I?
I passed smog several times with a 3" high flow cat on my car. As long as you get a place that will let your BOV through visual you should be alright.

That cat will be fine for the tailpipe test, but you will probably fail visual on the intercooler pipe and BOV, unless you take it to a place that is more relaxed on the visual inspection.
Aight guys good news and bad news.. Good is I passed ...Barely tho. bad news is I have a exhaust leek. Possibly a crack in the manifold. But at least I passed.
