Re: throwing cel?
I cant see the pic at work but if its the taboo speed shop vaccum line routing, then no you wont throw a CEL. If your EGR valve isnt hooked up, make a block off plate for it. It wont throw a CEL, but the code will be there if you ever decide to check your codes or you get another CEL from something else. Its not a big deal and doesnt affect anything.
EDIT: I have all extra vaccum lines removed, and my EGR is blocked off. No CELs

Re: throwing cel?
i had mine on my old 97 like that and once every like 6 months it would throw the egr temp sensor CEL but a quick reset and it would be another 6 months or so with no problems

Re: throwing cel?
Its not really going to increase performance or anything. It helps if your using an aftermarket intake manifold or throttle body that doesn't have anyplace to hook up all that emmisons stuff.

Re: throwing cel?
My car is a 96 and has never thrown a code for the EGR. I also have a 95 EPROM ECU now and it has never thrown a EGR CEL. It might be the newer cars that do occasionally. I did it to help eliminate vaccum/boost leaks. It also cleans it up a bit but didnt notice any performance gains.

Re: throwing cel?
I used a thin piece of aluminum (like a soda can) and traced the stock gasket and then used RTV to seal it up, then I put the stock EGR valve back over the new gasket/block off plate. If you disconnect the vaccum lines, the EGR valve wont work anyway, so you should block it off.

Re: throwing cel?
Yes you can cap off all the vaccum lines shown (with the red dots) and just leave the sensors plugged in electrically. You do not need to cap the sensor's vaccum lines.
