Right now I'm running a 20g with a stock MAFS, well i just replaced the MAF due to fluctuating idle issues and an old problem of mine came back from my coil pack issues which makes no sense. Basically when I had bad coil packs it felt like I was ending up with a horrendous fuel cut at like 5k rpms. Bought new coil packs the problem went away. Purchased a 3kgt MAFS because it is usable on my 97 gst. Well it god rid of the fluctuating idle problems somewhat but caused another problem, I'm hitting a huge wall at 3500 RPMS at around 7-8 psi of boost with the throttle opened up to about 60%. So right now I'm reminiscing thinking its major fuel cut, my boost rises to 0.7 bar psi then it gets erratic all of a sudden like just bouncing around. The only two things I can think of to test tomorrow are for Boost Leaks and not enough fuel getting to the engine. Any other suggestions??? All help is welcome. BTW the turbo is tuned to 1 bar which is roughly 14.5-15 lbs of PSI. |

I dont think the 3KGT MAF's is scaled the same way 2G's are. Also, I highly doubt your fluctuating idle has anything to do with the MAF. That 3KGT might be putting out a higher signal than that of the 2G. And the ECU cuts out at 2400hz. When the 2G maf at 22psi will put out 2400hz signal and the 3KGT is putting that out at 8psi. |

no piggyback or stand alone, and what exactly do you mean by scaled. From just looking at it the 3kgt Mass is exactly the same cosmetically. |
