 fuel filter bottom washer
Hi guys,
Does anybody know what the part number is for the fuel filter washer. I need the bottom one that sits under the fuel line. I was instaling my fuel pressure gauge today and it fell, but never came out of the bottom. Spent at least an hour trying to figure out where it went. Tried using my magnet to fish it out from hiding but still no luck. So i'm going to the dealership tomorrow to grab one, and was hoping someone might know the part number.
Thanks.
David.

 Re: fuel filter bottom washer
exactly, sorry, maybe I didn't explain it right. On top of the filter is a fuel lline with a banjo bolt. That bolt needs two washers so that is sits: Filter, then washer, then fuel line, then washer, then banjo bolt. Well I need the 1st washer that sits between the filter and the top fuel line. It appears to be a thiner washer then the 2nd one. I tried using another washer I had, but it's too thick and makes my pressure sensor face the wrong way.

 Re: fuel filter bottom washer
Yeah those washers are pretty thin. As far as size difference betwen the two, i have never heard of that but I could be wrong. Usually when you buy the filter it comes with both washers so double check your box. I got mine from Norco Mits. when they were still around.
Another thing you can do is take a washer to an auto parts store to compare them and just use a similar one. I really doubt there different, I just randomly used mine on either end when i was building my motor. I've been running it for 1,400+miles so far with no issues
But if you really want the "correct" one just go the the parts department at the dealer.

 Re: fuel filter bottom washer
i've always thought they were the same thickness. i remember changing my fuel filter when i first got my car, and they were the same. (mine is a 1g so idk if it's different)

 Re: fuel filter bottom washer
normally I wouldn't care, but the pressure sensor won't fit on top of the filter becuase of some lines that run along the firewall. So it needs a 90degree adapter to make it fit. and the thinner washer helps the adapter point in the right direction.
alright thanks guys.
David.

 Re: fuel filter bottom washer
yeah, I went to the glendale mitsu today since the Lancaster and Van Nuys ones have closed down, bummer.
But I did get a total of 4 washers. 2 for today and 2 spares just in case. They were only 1.59 each. so I got all 4 for less than $7.
David.
