Dude, if you're only getting a clicking sound and eventually the car starts after repeated attemps, do as stated above, check the connections to the starter, grounding is very important. Also stated, could be the ignition switch just no good, either lose internals or wiring hareness, I've had that problem with Honda's

Do any of you with this starter problem have an alarm on your car?? Someone told me to consider the alarm

On my last gsx it had a similar problem, it seemed that if it tried starting the car within about 5 seconds of moving it to auxilary it would just make the clicking sound. but nothing as extreme as what you're describing.

Do you have the starter circuit diagram available? I was looking at it and considering bypassing the anti-theft alarm relay.

I FINALLY gave up of having this dumb problem. I gave in and took it to my mechanic and he straight out fixed the problem. I probably should have taken some time to try and fix it myself but i just couldn't plus this damn HOT ASS weather didn't help AT ALL. So now i can get in my car and know its gonna start on the first try .

So, uh...what did he say the problem was???
