Re: Wally just failed why yes he did read this
Well looks like im not going to give up on this car yet I talked to chris the guy who sold me the engine and I do understand what he told me and why he can't give me my money back but he was cool to offer his help tho. If I can save my old crank im just getting new baring which chris offered to buy from his pocket. New rods and see where it goes its not a perfect fix but who knows if I see thats its getting to expensive then i would have to either sell it junk it or get another 2g.

seems like a small guilt trip, but at least he is being a nice guy and tryin to not ruin his rep.
but yeah dont give up, most of us here give you mad props for all the time/research/labor/patience/money you've invested and that you've done it YOURSELF. You've gone too far to turn back now.

No theories or philosophies. Just good ol hard core gear head work. Pull that damn pan and asses the problem damnit! Take pictures and post it. If you don't see anything, pop the valve cover off to make sure everything is good there.

Re: Wally just failed why yes he did read this
yo guys im being honest with you guys about the motor it came out of a running car. I got the motor in a trade. The dude needed work done on his car so he gave me the motor as a form of payment. As far as you guys saying I feel guilty, I don't feel guilty for what..? I feel bad for wally yes i do. I offered to get me the bearing out of kindness cause i feel bad. Didn't wally tell you how long we talked before I even gave in....
I sold wally a motor that was mint, I had told him, take the motor, put new seals if you would like but all you have to do is take it from my house and put it in your car. I didn't say take the motor a f**King apart. I hope you guys see where im coming from on that.
I gave wally mad props for doing everything his self thats cool for never doing a motor swap. but thus being his first time I don't know if there were any mistakes that happen it between time. think about it, who is going to post a mistakes ..? he already posted about a dam shirt getting stuck in his dam timing belt, I think he wants that to be his last known mistake ...correct..? nobody want to post, hey look guys I fucked up this.
What im saying is that its easy to point the finger at the seller. when shit hits the fan..you know if wally would of just got the motor and put it in without taking it apart I would of gave him his money back, but he didn't. hope you guys feel my side the story...
I would seriously like to prevent shit taking and instigators in this thread

Re: Wally just failed why yes he did read this
Chris you have a valid point, and if he did take the motor apart then you are totally right and you can't be held responsible. Wally did you take this motor apart before throwing it in? I don't recall you saying you did/didn't.

Re: Wally just failed why yes he did read this
Alright guys well I have decided im not going to let this get to me im keeping the engine using the head from the engine that I got because the head is beautiful. Im getting the bottom end rebuild. The part that suxs is the chris does not believe me that I did not damage this engine but whatever it doesn't matter. I will post pics of the rods and bearing and you guys tell me if this damage could have been cause by my small amount of time that I had the engine. Like I said well anyways im pulling the motor out right now and what I can do with it well I will keep you guys updated. Oh yeah jram it wasnt a cosmetic gasket it was a composite gasket well I will be back later when I get the engine out. Dad's friend let me borrow the cherry picker so saved some cash right there.
