Sucks to hear wally, but if that motor was bad when you got it then that's pretty shaddy.

The only part I hate and gets me so fucking pist is that I was told it was a perfect engine buying new parts for it going all out on it then turns out to be POS.

1400=rebuilt tranny 1000=fixing old engine 500=minor body work 500=misc crap 100=BOV 100=FMIC 150=new tires 500=this engine 100=oil antifreeze 100=newgaskets
total=4750
It was dumb of me to try and bring this car back to life. I could have bought a nice gsx with that money already built with what I want.
If I do part it out I wont get much for it its auto it has cloth interior shocks are blown and yeah IDK what ima do with it.

 Re: Wally just failed why yes he did read this
I just heard the video and I came up with this. When I had my Saturn back in 2007, when I was driving one day I took a turn a little too hard. I started hearing a noise similar to yours, just not as loud. After a few days I went to check the oil and the crankcase was completely EMPTY! I added oil and the sound died down a little bit, but it was still noticeable. So my question to the guy who sold you the motor is did he run it dry of oil for too long. I know this may sound ridiculous, but you never know. Today, my old Saturn sits in a junkyard in Lancaster due to a crack in the block from overheating. I didn't have the funds to drop another motor (or trans since I was going to convert it to manual). Hope this helps some.

When I took apart my old 7 bolt I saw these long things that spin with the balance shafts belts can it be that maybe those are no good or have play well doesnt matter wont be able to tell until I drop the oil pan. They are long rods that have counter weights on them as well maybe those are moving or I didnt put the shafts in time or something but I know I did.

 Re: Wally just failed why yes he did read this
Those are the balance shafts, if they were off they would cause a lot of vibrations and you would be able to tell. I don't think that would cause the noise we hear in the video.

Dude don't give up. Figure out what the issue is then decide what to do. Your sooo close, you've made it this far and you've done so much, i wouldn't give up with out knowing what the problem is. Figure that out then choose if you want to sell/part out your car or what not. The worst that can happen is that the motor isn't good and you need to rebuild it. or get another one rebuilt. Trust me i went through the same thing when i did my 6bolt swap. The whole "parent thing" -that it's a waiste of time, why do you go through this, just buy a new car, you don't know what your doing, i tired of seeing your car on parked, your gonna fuck it up blah blah blah....but now there all proud and happy and amazed that it got put back together and let alone it runs. I did take my sweet ass time building it though but thats besides the point. I got it running with the help of some guys here. Did it from scratch. Basically just the bare block and head. What i'm trying to say is that i don't want you to give up with out knowing what the issue is. Once you get that cleared then make a decide: I give up, it's not worth it, i can't afford it, i just gonna get a "normal" car or say F%CK it thug life, fix the problem(if fixable) get another motor, do a 6bolt swap (stock rebuilt) or fully build one. Good Luck man
