i changed the spark plugs a week after i bought it and the ones that were in it before were still good. when i turn the key to start it cranks like a quarter ways and just stops. when i move the key back and forth it makes a clicking noise.
i tried to push start it already didnt work reverse and foward

o yea when it trys to crank everything starts loosing power the lights dim and my seatbelt stops and door locks everything like the power is focusing on trying to start it

it sounds like your starter is drawing to many amps. or your power cable from the battery to the starter may have to much resistance(corriosion). take your starter off and get that checked. your starter should be under the intake manifold. with a big cable from the battery going to it. just follow that cable and it should take you to the starter.

Optima Battery installed !!!!
Still having slight problems getting it to start, i crank it 2-3 times til it starts (when the car's warmed up). So i guess i must check my starter if there might b some corrosion around the starter

yea, i just installed the NEW starter (from clarks auto parts) which is a remanufactored OEM starter, but now im getting a knocking/tapping sound under the intake manifold. At first my mechanic & I thought the starter was installed incorrectly, but when we messed with it a 2nd & 3rd time, it still made the same sound @ idle. I would raise the rpm's from the knob, by the intake, and the noise would stop and the car would feel peacefull. So it rattles, or something, only @ idle.
Any suggestions?
Oh & the new starter is almost the same when i compared it b4 buying it, the only difference was that it's about 0.5 - 1.0 of an inch smaller in length from the original starter it once had.
