i am thinking of converting my 1Ga fwd into a driveline used by the awd. is the awd intermediate shaft going to work with my fwd tranny?

thinking is the shorter the moving parts, less stress on the axles....since the intermediate shaft is bolted to the engine block my thinking is that the rotating mass is cut in half...

100 bucks for the shaft and the axles, its a oretty cheap mod, if it works.

anyone with any experience on this swap?

No real experience here but i don't see why it shouldn't work. Physically both transmissions share a pretty similar size, and if i remember correctly the whole front suspension is the same. Maybe someone else can chime in with some more info.

No experience either, but I don't see why not either. I have heard of people doing this mod on Hondas and the driveshaft falling off.
