 hello, my name is erix, and i have phantom knock. alright boys, i have phantom knock.
i.e.
32 counts @ 4125RPM w/ 6 degrees advanced timing.
possibly my knock sensor is a dud, how can i make sure of that w/o actually looking at it? haha.
i came across thread on tooners that shows one way to eliminate phantom knock.
any suggestions? pros/cons? etc.

Re: hello, my name is erix, and i have phantom knock. I tried that mod & it definietly made a difference. Once I added cams it started picking pknock again. FYI, I used JB Weld to cover the hole.

Re: hello, my name is erix, and i have phantom knock. I think I might have to try this mod. A funny thing happened yesterday, though... My PK disappeared. Completely. I could pull hard and would get a little knock up high (so i knew it was picking up real knock), but the 40+ counts of PK at 4k RPM were GONE! ...well, it came back today. Man, I got just a taste of a world w/o PK. It was so nice...

Re: hello, my name is erix, and i have phantom knock. Well, I'm not fucking around. I bought the Moates Ostrich for $175 (LESS THAN AFC!). I have load based tuning, speed density capabilities, and I can turn off knock sensor anytime I want. I've decided to keep the knock sensor enabled. I'm not taking chances with shitty 91 octane on 8.9:1 compression with my expen$ive RRE built stroker. I keep hearing stories that go along the lines of "well, i turned off the knock sensor in 'link, and ended up *insert catastrophic event here*" LOL, your avatar is so fitting considering your comment
