Oil Pan on AWD sucks
Just wanted to say that dropping the oil pan on an eagle talon tsi awd, is so freakin ridiculous.
I thought it was gonna be a simple task, but nope it wasn't. Took me like 2 hours cause I haven't done it before so it was a learning process, but I did it, and I'm happy its over.
That is until I have to put it all back together lol.
So just a lil ranting, off to bed.

Re: Oil Pan on AWD sucks
It isn't that hard to do. All you do is remove the downpipe, transfer case, and maybe the bar the front motor mount is on and then take off the pan.
If you own an AWD you just get used to removing parts of it.

Re: Oil Pan on AWD sucks
Well I'm sure ill get used to it, but since this is my first awd, I didn't expect it.
Its a learning process, next time ill know exactly what to do, and do it in less time.
But that was a major step is my rebuild cause I was able to get the pistons out that were damaged from a skipped timing belt.

Just make sure the two short bolt under the on the timing belt side goes back where they came out, otherwise if you put one of the longer ones in there, it will cut a groove into your timing belt. Not to scare you or anything.

Re: Oil Pan on AWD sucks
OH fuck ya it does, took me 4 hours to install and uninstall and also put in a new exhaust system. Of course I fucked around too
Dropped the xfer case, downpipe, and the support beams? brain fart
Every bolt was off and I couldnt drop the pan???
IT was hitting the axle, so I unbolt the bracket and made everything 10x easier
