thanks to Sam, and Joe for helping me out, clutch change took us over 12 hours lol... 11:30 am to about 3:00 am. time flys when your doing a clutch... man that tranny is awkward... anyways, it still doesnt work, and both Robert at RRE and Jon at TRE think its the clutch ajdustment. so ill try adjusting it tomorrow.
the problem we found when we took off the clutch, was that the flywheel was not properly machined. they didnt use a lathe, instead they used a stone, and it was not cut perfectly level. instead it sloped towards the middle of the flywheel, thus causeing stress cracks and ruining a perfectly good stock flywheel. so i got a new crommolly flywheel from RRE, lighter and stronger than a stock lightened flywheel.

here is what Jon said to my questions:
(me)Is the brass in the oil normal for a new tranny?
[Jon Ripple]
Yes, in small amounts. As the synchros bed-in they will shed a little.
Things that’ll wear the synchros out:
Improper clutch adjustment
Bad driver….. hopefully that is not you.
(me)I’ll re-adjust the clutch tomorrow.
I’m using BG Syncro Shift 1. should I be using something else?
[Jon Ripple]
We really like the 6 speed gear oil that is used in the EVO-MR transmission. It’s the whip.
