Re: 91 awd auto i'll let you know when i'm ready to fix it up. i just want to get it running, its going to be my girls dsm. i have a few stock fuel pumps. she has to learn how to drive it before it goes any faster.

91 awd auto My friends 2g was just like that had been sitting for 5 years. Had to change the fuel tank along with pump and hanger. And a fuel filter later it was running great.

Re: 91 awd auto Shit that sucks man. Hows the rest of the tank look? I'm betting it looks just as bad as that fuel pump hanger. You may want to consider replacing the tank all together or you'll probably be clogging fuel filters every other week for the rest of the car's life. I might have an extra fuel tank that's not nearly as bad as yours if your interested.

Re: 91 awd auto well the tank is full of gas. i don't know where to go from here. i know i should drain out the tank. attached compressed air to the feed and return line to take out any junk in there. how much for the gas tank?  looks like another money pit, i'll never get a regular DD, I want a 1.6L corolla for a DD from work to home. no wonder the fuel gauge wasn't working. it read E even tho i put 10 bucks worth of gas in it (this was before i touched anything on the car) damn that 2.5 gallons could have gone on my running car hahahaha. I'm going to have to be creative here to clean out the fuel system lol.
