What's that you say? Ohlins...on a 1G!?!? Yes irv, adjustable rebound/dampening but 1 way not two. I hear that the car responds really well to the adjustments though

Re: What's that you say? Ohlins...on a 1G!?!? Driving impressions: holy shit. These things are a whole different ballgame. At first on a tight low speed turn it felt like they pushed more than the JICs, but I believe that's more or less because the ride is softer and you don't feel the road fighting back as much as you do with the JICs. As soon as I pushed the car in higher speed sweepers they really started to shine. The Ohlins feel 100 times more stable than the JICs. The softer ride makes for a more planted feel going over the bumps in a turn. At one point we hit a very prominent bump in the road mid turn at WOT and the car didn't shift off it's axis or slide to the outside at all. With the JICs I would have ended up doing half a lane change and probably stepping out a bit sideways.
Besides how well it handles, the ride is WAY softer than the JICs! Feels close to an OEM car's ride quality (but not quite). Bumps and railroad crossings aren't near as bad now.
I have a lot more confidence with the Ohlins. The car really stays planted and is forgiving when you go into the turn hot. On top of that I'm running really shitty 235 tires right now. With a decent set of 255's the car will be amazing. More pics and maybe some video to come...
