 bad power transistor pack or coil pack help! Need some help guys im trying to find out how to test my coil pack and1990 5 bar power resistor pack aka control module. Nowhere online says how to test a 5 they only have 6 7 and 8. I have looked in the service manual but doesn't say how to test them and I know one of them is what's causing my random misfire while im driving. I have new plug wires on the way so those aren't the problem

Re: bad power transistor pack or coil pack help! If its a 2.0 and. A 1990 the transistors are interchangeable. The coils are the same the difference is the harness on the 1990 is different than the 91-94, but you can just swap the harness with your stock one if its a 91-94 coil pack.

So my coil pack is going bad and im going to be looking for a coil pack from a 90 and possible power transistor so if anyone knows anyone that has one let me know. Also is it possible to cut my coil pack wires and hook up a 91 or 92 coil pack and use the matching power transistor
