 Re: need opinions about my options I removed the studs and added sealant. I highly doubt it would be a headgasket leak since that area would be an oil drain which isn't pressurized. But who knows, stranger things have happened.

Re: need opinions about my options I would use some sort of high temp thread sealer or even some gray rtv in small quantities of course.
