 Took my 1g to the dyno today! Recently I swapped to a FP3065 turbo with an FP cast manifold. My old turbo was a PTE 56 trim bolt-on turbo that had certainly seen better days. I made 482whp and 345lb/ft @ 27psi with that turbo, and that was maxing out the fuel system on 110 octane fuel. Out with that turbo, in with the new setup, and right off the bat it was making more power and flowing more air at lower boost levels. I haven't changed the fuel system yet, and I really really really need to now. THESE PULLS WERE ALL IN 3RD GEAR ON A 2WD DYNOJET, CAR WAS CONVERTED TO FWDBaseline was 15psi, and the car made 380whp and 267 lb/ft. Air/Fuel ratios were in the 12's. IDC's were in the 60% range. Upped it to 20psi, and the car made 456whp and 311 lb/ft. Air/Fuels were still in the 12's. IDC's were getting up there. Upped a bit more to 22psi, and the car made 489whp and 345 lb/ft. IDC's were getting to the danger zone, over 100% at this point. The car was making more power than the last setup at 5 less pounds of boost. Pretty impressive! Just because we wanted to get past that 500whp mark, we upped the boost a bit more. At 25psi the car made 511whp and 352 lb/ft. Air/Fuels were in the 13's, I don't even wanna know what the IDC's were at, but I got my peak number. After that we turned the boost back down to try and keep things safer. Eventually I want to run E85 in this car. A bigger fuel system has been long overdue. I have a set of Bosch 1600's waiting to go in the car, and I'll have to think of a some sort of fuel pump solution. I refuse to put a fuel cell in the car at this point. Re: Took my 1g to the dyno today! Congratulations, if your goal isn't to go to far beyond 500 on 85 check out this in tank pump. It should be able to handle it without a problem and it is actually rated for use with E85.
