 trouble starting? so the car has spark,fuel, cranks, but wont start up all the time, maybe starts once every 30 tries lol. idk what to do. anyone here know whats up?at first me and adam thought it was a faulty CAS, but im not so sure thats the issue any more. i start working in rancho on wednesday, and she is my daily, so any advice would help out a lot guys.if you are anywhere near the fontana area by the 210 or 15, and need some extra cash and think you can fix it hit me up 347-933-9896

Re: trouble starting? Spin the cas manually with key on engine off. You should hear all injectors fire sequentially. Plug wires & wiring could also cause intermittent failures like you described. Also check the caps in the ecu.

Re: trouble starting? I had kinda a similar issue. My car one morning didnt wanna start. Was getting spark and fuel and was cranking. The return line from the fpr to tank was clogged somehow. once we unclogged it. Car ran aweseome.
Have you changed your fuel filter?

Re: trouble starting? it was the water temp sensor. now i need to fix this damn oil leak,i tried rtv and the gasket, it wont work,frank suggests cutting it so that the turbo to oil return line part seals, and then using rubber to connect both parts of the oil return line back together.  mickeymoused car dude...

Re: trouble starting? Good to see you got it fixed man. Wasn't the coolant temp sensor one of the first things I asked if you checked? That thing makes it a bitch to start the car when its cold. Cut that shit, bridge the two parts together with a hose and you're done, that's how I always ran my mitsu turbos. Just check the rubber hose from time to time to make sure it doesn't start getting soft.

At least the car starts. Told irv to get his own tools and jack for starters so he can work on his car and do basic repairs
