Using MAFT extension harness instead of V3 gm maf cable..?

 Using MAFT extension harness instead of V3 gm maf cable..? Just wondering if it would be possible to use a MAF-T extension harness for the gm sensors as a gm maf cable for V3..? im asking because i already have an extension harness and it seems like to me you can just connect the extension harness from the gm sensor to the stock harness. I'm planning on ordering V3 this week and the V3 gm maf cable is like 70 bucks so I was wondering if it could be a possible cheaper alternative...? Has anyone tried this?
