Depends on what you said. If you were the one who asked how to make your car sound like the car on fast and furryest 3, yhea I'll blow you off. We aren't best buys where all he guys are there trying to sell shit. We make enough business, we don't need advertising, we just want to do what we do, build cars and make money doing it. Free tech support is something else we offer and waive the right to give it out or not. Pretty sure it wasn't me you talked to, could of been one of the Roberts. I'm seriously the only person here that still cares about DSM's. We don't make any money on DSM guys (we are all broke) The Roberts will blow ya off because the 10 minutes of free advice we give is 10 minutes an Evo guy will pay $200 for. All DSM stuff has been done and done again, imagine the kind of calls we get everyday, the how do I make my blow off valve louder and stupid crap like that that been asked a million times on DSMtuners and Answered in the VFAQ.com site. When it comes down to it, the biggest name in Mitsubishi sports is RRE, Buscher, AMS, and Magnus. Everyone else don't even come close to the experience we have with actually RACING these cars, you can build anything you want, make it shinney and colorful, but when it comes down to it and you get killed by Mike's 89 Mirage, both Roberts Rally GVR4's, Our various Track cars, time attack cars. There are alot of vendors who sell stuff. Very few actually Build their own cars, tune their own cars, test their parts, with realistic numbers (no 15hp gain intakes from us because that only happens in the fairy land of Jaydem), and actually go race the cars, and im not talking street racing for bragging right, talked paint trading fuck you's get outta the way racing, 100mph+ sideways in dirt racing, GTR killing 175mph+ on the big left at california speed way. So if the question of "why my car runs like this?" comes up, and all the symptoms sounds like a boost leak, and you haven't done one yet, or researched it yourself, or if you asked the cookie recipe race car question, we're not going to help you. But if you have questions that we can get technical about on levels of how it works and how trim, inducer/exducer size effects compressor/turbine wheel characteristics and how a .63AR housing will make the turbo into a more streetable turbo, and a .82AR on the same turbo will give you more potential power but lag you. Ask us which blow off valve makes more power, we will hang up because, one, its stupid and two if we do get into the workings of a valve and how it works and explain to you that it doesn't make power at all, you wont get it. Not saying you per say, just we get it a lot and rather not waste time, even if we don't make any money, we aren't wasting time/money.

^ agreed 100% I'm suew the Roberts get so many phone calls with stupid questions because I'll even say it I have back when I first got into DSM called Roberts asking some questions but then gave me little advice but more advice on searching. +1 for RRE for being top dog!
Its 2009 and the EvoX is the new racer/money maker/enthusiast hype, of this time

I couldn't agree with you more illeagle, however when a potential customer calls, and asks about a downpipe, and doesn't know the difference between long and short, and gets blown off and put on hold for 15 minutes then another 10 minutes to see if you have one in stock, I think that potential customer has a right to bitch and complain.
I know enough about tuning and modifying to know not to ask stupid questions. If there's something I don't know and can't find by searching, I search more. For the most part everything is answered in forums, which is why I'm on them. I know my goal, I know what its gonna cost, I know what I need to get. What I didn't know was the difference between the long and short downpipe because it doesn't state the difference on your website.
If I'm an idiot for asking a simple question like that, I couldn't imagine the response I'd get for asking a really stupid question like "why doesn't my turbo spin when my cars off"
No worries though, I found the difference between the two dp's. I have one on order, not from rre but I will have to order a flange from rre (I know, I know, I said I wouldn't buy anything from them, but I can't help it lol)
I installed my evo3 16g turbo, ported manifold, and ported o2 housing, bought a greddy intercooler, used but in good shape (as far as pressure tested) I got a boost gauge, and ploan on running at stock boost for now until I get my other supporting mods.
I really appreciate forums like these, without them, it would take a hell of a lot longer to figure shit out.
